Sound Morphologies

2021-present

Environmental Listening Walk in collaboration with Geophysicist Michael Lazar

sound morphologies is an art/science project combining a close encounter with nearby environments and the geological, biological and anthropological processes involved, to practices of listening, hearing and field recording. All of those are providing new perspectives to hear, see and understand the environment around us in the current climate.

The walks are combining listening practices, scientific analysis of the phenomenons and their sonic manifestations, and a real-time sonic information from various microphones which are heard through wireless headphones, proposing ways to extend and augment our human hearing.

The first walk is designed for Ajami/Giva’at Aliya beach in Jaffa.
